Recycled Aggregate & Hard Fill

Pile of recycled concrete in Auckland

Recycled concrete ready for new projects in Auckland

Using recycled concrete construction materials can save you lots of money when undertaking a new building project. To produce recycled aggregate, demolition waste including concrete, masonry and asphalt is crushed into various sizes which can then easily be reused instead of gravel to fill in bases for driveways or as drainage aggregate. It’s more economical than purchasing new products, as well as more sustainable and ethical because it keeps concrete away from our already overflowing landfills.

Epic360 offers a range of recycled hard fill, recycled aggregate, recycled metal, recycled gravel, builders mix and pipe bedding. Our products can be used as crushed concrete, which is graded and screened as a cheaper hard fill alternative for various projects, and drainage concrete.

Conveniently located in Silverdale, you have the choice between delivery and pick up from a short distance, reducing transportation costs. All products have been cleaned of rubbish and other contaminants such as plastic and organic waste. When being crushed to produce the recycled aggregate, the concrete goes through two magnets in order to remove as much steel from the final product as possible.

Types of Recycles Aggregates Available

We offer recycled aggregates General All Passing (GAP) in the following categories:

GAP 7 – Crushed recycled concrete that has been graded and screened to a size of 10mm with fines. This extra fine grade is suitable as bedding under pipes or as support in levelling prior to paving or concrete projects.

GAP 20 – Crushed recycled concrete or metal that has been graded and screened to a size of 20mm with fines. This grade is suitable for footpaths and driveways or as a base course for concrete and paving. It can also be used as a light drainage fill or mixed with sand and cement for a smooth and solid fill.

GAP 40 – Crushed recycled concrete or metal that has been graded and screened to a size of 40mm with fines. This grade is most popular as it is suitable for most light-traffic projects from driveways and paving to concrete car parks where a firm base is needed.

GAP 65 – Crushed recycled concrete or metal that has been graded and screened to a size of 65 mm with fines. This heavy grade fill is most suitable in commercial areas and for use in subdivisions where soft ground needs extra stabilising.

Drainage 40 – Crushed recycled concrete or metal that has been screened to a size of 20 to 40 mm without fines. This type is suitable for drainage applications and is commonly used around drain coil and behind retaining walls.

Drainage 65 – Crushed recycled concrete or metal that has been screened to a size of 40 t0 65 mm without fines. This type is suitable for drainage applications and is commonly used around drain coil and behind retaining walls.
